What is Project X?

Project X is a hybrid independent study model that includes two full days of classroom instruction in core subjects. Students then work independently three days of the week. Students have individually differentiated Math instruction, in addition to classes in History, Science, and Language Arts. Students are also enrolled in weekly elective workshops.

This program allows independent learners to schedule their homework around their lives instead of cramming it in at night between soccer practice, ballet rehearsals, or family life. The program includes instruction in organizational strategies, time management and study skills to help those planning to transition to a more traditional high school setting. Students can also attend the numerous activities, field trips and social events at PACT.

In order for a student to be most successful, a responsible adult will work with the student at home on Monday/Wednesday/Friday to ensure that the student is staying on track with assignments.

Students absolutely must have internet access and a reliable computer at home.
