Resource Center
P.A.C.T.'s Resource Center is the "hub" of P.A.C.T. The Advisors, office staff and administrators are located in the center. The computer lab and most other classes are held in the nearby classrooms.
The Resource Center is where parents can sign their students up for field trips, classes and find out what is happening around the school. We have a calendar of events posted, listing all the school's events, holidays, field trips, etc.
Parents and students may come to the center to study, or check out the wide selection of books, videos, games, or curriculum kits. Our library has a large selection of "Early Readers" for the younger children. There is also a nice fiction section, containing many of the classics and the popular series. The biography and non-fiction sections provide many different choices for students to study, from Abraham Lincoln, to the Egyptian Mummies, to the planets, to Zoology. The video section contains videos on science, history, biographies, literature, and math. There are many reference materials, curriculum guides and thematic units available for the parent/teacher at the center.
Supervision in the Resource Center:
All K-5 students must remain in the Resource Center between classes and while waiting to be picked up.
All 6th - 8th grade students enjoy the privilege of remaining on campus for a period of no longer than 2 hours to work on their daily educational goals. 6th - 8th grade students may also use 30 minutes of this time for their lunch and may eat in the family lounge area.
