Individualizing your child's instruction just got easier!

We are excited as we begin the implementation of an amazing tool to help you individualize and tailor instruction for your child.  The MAP (Measures Academic Progress) assessments offered by NWEA will specifically target your child's needs and accomplishments as well as track his/her growth over time.  Imagine having the information about your child's instructional level as you get the school year underway.  This will ensure that curriculum is matched to your child's abilities.  These assessments will gauge your child's academic progress in the areas of Reading, Language Arts, and Math.  When your child takes each of these assessments over the next three weeks, a baseline level is determined.  MAP will then suggest the next standards for instructional purposes which can be incorporated into your child's Learning Record Form.  Your teaching and your child's learning are supported every step of the way!

We will offer one assessment each week in a designated subject area for the 1st three weeks of school (August 17 - September 4).  You will need to sign your child up for a 1 hour slot each week in order to complete the assessments on time.  Please note that your child will be unable to attend classes until his/her testing is completed.  Be sure to have your child arrive on time or you may need to reschedule.  Students are encouraged to bring a book to read after the assessment is complete while waiting for the rest of the testing group to finish.

Parents of 1st and 2nd grade students are encouraged to remain on campus and wait for your child to complete his/her assessment.

Call or come by the P.A.C.T. Center today to sign up for the NWEA Assessments.
