Field Trips

Learning Through Experience

In general, transportation for these field trips is provided by families. Carpools are encouraged whenever possible. Please indicate on the sign-up sheet if you would like to share a ride. Bus transportation, if available, may be provided for some field trips and by law may only transport K-12 students and parents. * Please note that there is a $6 bus fee per person to help with transportation costs. The fee is due prior to the field trip. Cash is preferred for all fees.

To register for a field trip, first complete a Field Trip Registration Form and sign up at the front desk. Each student needs to have a $20.00 deposit on file. When signing up for a field trip, and fees involved, please pay cash or write a check to cover the field trip tuition for the PACT student and the chaperone & sibling ( if applicable.) In many cases cash will be the requested form of payment.  When checks are accepted, make them out to NAEF/LTE. At the end of the year, the student deposit will be returned. A student deposit will not be returned if the student does not attend a previous field trip that he or she was scheduled to attend.

New Registration Procedure as of Sept. 2010 - Field trips are popular.  In all fairness, PACT will be using the lottery system to create field trip rosters.  No more worrying if you can't get into PACT to sign up for a field trip on the first day!  All families that have a current deposit on file will have the opportunity to participate in the lottery when they submit the registration form, the chaperone fee, and one raffle ticket per family.  Write the family name on the raffle ticket.  Submit all paperwork up to one week before the field trip date.  Raffle tickets will be randomly chosen to fill available spaces one week prior to the field trip.  Registration forms that are submitted after the lottery will be considered if spaces are still available. When a cancellation is made, families on the WAIT LIST will be notified.
