This year's Poetry Jam will be held on December 9, 2009.  The Poetry Jam is an event that features Natomas Charter School students in grades K-12 reciting poetry.   Students will compete in the following grade level categories: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.  P.A.C.T. students only will compete at P.A.C.T. at 2:00 in the conference room.  The top three finalists will competing that evening at 6:30p.m.

Join Natomas Charter School and the Natomas Community for the first annual Duck Pluck Festival on Saturday, May 15, 2010.  This free, family fun-filled event will feature activities for the entire family.  You will have the chance to purchase a rubber duck that could result in you winning $10,000!

In order to help prevent the H1N1 and other flus, we highly encourage students to bring thier own hand sanitizer to school.  Take some time to teach your student how to cough and sneeze appropriately.  Please keep your child at home if he/she is showing signs of illness.  At the school level, classrooms will be provided with hand sanitizer for student use.  Desks will be sanitized twice per day: once before lunch and again before the end of the school day.

Due to the state budget crisis and a drop in state funding, we have had to increase our school lunch prices by 50 cents for the 2009-2010 school year.  Lunch prices for NCS students are increasing to $3.  There is no change in the breakfast price.  You may pay for your child's meals in advance and online throuth our e-funds program.  Check the district website at www.natomas.k12.ca.us for more information.  Also, free and reduced price breakfasts and lunches are available for students who qualify based on family income.  New students will not receive free or re
